My name is Keiko Katsuta.
I've been a self-taught artist. Since I grew up in Japan where all the animations and manga are so popular, doodling was my favorite thing to do during my spare time when I was a kid.
I used to make all the greeting cards with my illustrations.
I came to the States to learn Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy in 2003. This modality deepened my spiritual practice and taught me how to hold space for the inherent health of our clients on all levels, physically, emotionally and spiritually.
That technique fits perfectly when I draw mandalas. I meditate on the theme that I want to draw, hold space for the energy of the theme, and create a mandala for the energy.
The symmetrical geometries in a circle and sacred geometries calm our brain waves. That is why mandalas are great tools for meditation.
The process of creating a mandala itself is also healing. I put dots on paper with gel pens as a facilitator for the energy of each mandala to come into the material world.
The energy conveyed by these mandalas helps you heal and open to the new, deeper phase of your life and soul. I recommend you to take a moment to be still with a mandala you feel attracted to and see what your soul is going to create in your life.
Many Blessings to you all.
